Runeasi

What is Runeasi Gait Analysis?

Running is a repetitive activity, with your body managing the demands of every stride. But understanding how you run involves more than simply watching your feet or looking at a video.

Runeasi uses wearable inertial sensor technology to capture information about your movement while you run. This provides objective measurements that can help us explore aspects of running mechanics, dynamic stability and movement control.

At Momentum, we look beyond the numbers. We interpret your results in the context of your running experience, training demands, symptoms and goals, helping you understand what the findings may mean for you.

Because better running isn't necessarily about changing everything. It's about understanding what matters and making informed decisions.

FAQ

Common questions

Do I need to change my running technique?

Not necessarily. There is no single perfect running style that everyone needs to achieve. Differences in running mechanics are normal, and changing technique simply because a measurement falls outside a reference value isn’t always beneficial.

Our approach is to understand your movement in context. If the assessment highlights something relevant to your goals or concerns, we’ll discuss whether it is worth addressing and what options may be appropriate.

Can Runeasi diagnose a running injury?

Runeasi provides information about movement; it does not diagnose an injury on its own or establish the cause of pain.

If you’re experiencing persistent symptoms, we may recommend a clinical assessment to consider your injury history, symptoms, training load and other relevant factors alongside your movement data. Where appropriate, Runeasi can complement physiotherapy, rehabilitation or a broader running assessment.

How long is the appointment and what does it cost?

Runeasi Gait Analysis is a 30-minute standalone appointment, priced at £60. It is offered by Carl Bell and Kate Disley at our Ponteland clinic.

Do I need to book a treatment package?

No. Runeasi Gait Analysis is a standalone service. You can book it independently, without committing to ongoing treatment. If further care would be helpful, we’ll discuss that with you — there’s no pressure.
