You've been told the injury has "settled down". The pain has gone, you've got a match on Saturday, and everything in you says you're fine. But how do you know? Returning too soon is one of the most common reasons injuries come back. A hamstring that feels fine walking down the stairs is not necessarily ready for a full-speed sprint, and "no pain" is only one part of being ready.
